We're having a 50th birthday party, and you're invited!
You're invited to a citywide birthday party from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at the Metro Historic Courthouse Public Square. The party is the culmination of a nine-month celebration and education campaign commemorating Metro Government’s 50th anniversary.
The free, family-friendly event will include:
• Musical performances from historic and contemporary multi-genre artists, featuring:
- Sam Bush & Del McCoury
- Night Train All-Stars Presented by Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum
- Nashville Symphony Ensemble
- Barbershop Harmony Society Music City Chorus

- Tennessee State University Marching Band
• Exhibits on the history and future of Nashville during the past 50 years from members like:
